2017 was a great year for us, as we decided every month to perform an Act of Kindness for public servants. Each of our 11 branches took turns recognizing area public workers for all that they do, and one month, all of our branches participated. We did everything from bringing lunch to police officers and firefighters, to taking breakfast to emergency dispatchers and the folks who keep our roads clear of snow. And all branches of the credit union participated in a school supply drive, but this was a school supply drive for TEACHERS—because they shouldn’t have to spend their own money to equip their classrooms. Thanks to our members and staff, that was very successful, with over $1800 worth of supplies donated to area schools!
We had a great time getting to recognize the hard-working people who keep us safe, and who never seem to get enough praise. We want all of you--police officers, firefighters, ambulance drivers, paramedics, school teachers, dispatchers, and all other public workers--to know that you are important to us and we appreciate all you do for the safety and well being of our communities. We are more grateful to you than you will ever know. Thank you for all that you do!
