Who is merging with whom?

Redbrand Credit Union is merging with R.I.A. Federal Credit Union

Why are we merging, and what benefits should members expect (rates, technology, branches, service)?

The merger is designed to enhance member access, strengthen service offerings, and expand convenience.

Members can expect:

  • Expanded branch and ATM access across both institutions’ footprints.
  • Broader product and service options, leveraging R.I.A.’s scale and technology.
  • Enhanced digital tools and online banking capabilities once systems are integrated.
  • Sustained local service with the same familiar staff.

Members will continue to receive competitive rates and personalized service.

Deposits & Insurance

Is my money still safe? How does NCUA share insurance apply after the merger?

Yes — your money remains completely safe.

After the merger, deposits will continue to be federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for up to $250,000 per individual depositor.

In addition, R.I.A. Federal Credit Union provides an extra layer of protection through Excess Share Insurance (ESI), which insures deposits for an additional $250,000.

That means your total deposit coverage after the merger will be up to $500,000 per member — offering more protection than most financial institutions.

Branches, ATM & Hours

Are branch or contact center hours changing?

At this time, nothing is changing. As more details are determined, information will be communicated well in advance.

Which branches remain open? Are there any closures, relocations, or new branches I can use?

Both Redbrand Credit Union branches — Bartonville, IL and Pekin, IL — will remain open and continue serving members with the same staff and friendly service you know today.

There are no planned branch closures or relocations as part of this merger. In fact, R.I.A. Federal Credit Union plans to continue expanding to bring added convenience and access to more members in more communities.

After system conversion, members will be able to use an expanded branch and ATM network across all R.I.A. locations.

Membership & Eligibility

Will I need to do anything to retain my membership?

There will be no interruption to your membership, accounts, or services. Once the system conversion occurs, you’ll receive clear communication about any new tools or login steps, but no immediate action is required from you.
